I'm rediscovering that the last week of school is pretty much party, party, party. Pajama party, field day, day at the park, early dismissal. I tell myself that this is all to end school on a positive note, so that maybe that is the kids' last impression and good memories, right? I helped at Owen's field day, and they definitely had fun in spite of the wind and overcast skies. Papa even came to see the activities!
Owen actually had perfect attendance this year! I was so impressed with his willingness and bravery to get himself to school even on those chilly mornings. He earned it for sure! He has become a stellar reader this year, too. Can't believe he's a future second grader.
Hadley learned to come out of her shell a bit more this year in pre-kindergarten, though we are still working on some social propriety skills. She loved her teacher, Mrs. Ferrer, and has started to read and tries to keep up with Owen in math homework. She has an excellent memory, too. She is so ready for kindergarten next year!
We were so happy to get to share our end-of-school celebrations with Oma and Papa this year! Now let summer begin!
