Freedom Traditions

Happy birthday, America! The 4th of July is always a big deal around here, and this year was HOT. We started off the morning at the annual parade - donuts and RW&B swag required. We were able to bike there this year, which was a nice change from driving and finding parking!

Then a brief rest at the house before our neighbor's annual BBQ and competitive yard games. This year we took over the nearby drainage area for a massive slip and slide, which the kids loved. They must have been in an endless loop for three hours.

We took in the fireworks show in a new location (our neighborhood!), since the show was in a new location this year, too. It was pretty good and only a 5-minute walk from home!
