Watching all the activity at the gate. He tried to sneak on the jet bridge twice while it was locked (much to his disappointment), so the ticket agent let us board first!
Passed out on the longer flight. Don't worry I straightened him out on the seats like a bed after this picture. :)
Luckily, the visit made the travel worth while! We had a great time playing with Oma and Grandpa, petting Luke, taking walks, and going to the park. Here, he and Grandpa are hiding in a box until Luke wants in!
Giving Luke a hug! It took about a day for them to assess each other, but then they got along just swimmingly.
I think he's trying to get Luke to chase him in this video, but Luke wasn't interested...
Oma pushing him in the stroller up their steep driveway!
Playing in the yard, looking for sticks and rocks.
On one of our walks, we let him splash in a big puddle, since we'd just had a good downpour the previous night. He found some nice, gooky mud at the bottom of the puddle to squish between his fingers and even rub on his face. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the 'mud' was part oil until we tried to scrub it off his face! It didn't budge! Luckily, Oma had a trick or two up her sleeve - baking soda for his hands and cold cream for his face. And he left a nice brown ring around the tub! Lesson learned! :)
Playing at the park on St. Patrick's Day. Ohio was having unseasonably warm temperatures (in the 80s!) the week we were there, so we got nice and sweaty during our outdoor ventures.
Checking out the trains in Nelsonville
I think Owen enjoyed his big boy carseat.
On our last morning, we headed to the Columbus Zoo before catching our flight that afternoon. We saw lots of animals, and he ran all over the place before crashing in the car on the way to the airport.
Thanks for a great time, Oma and Grandpa!
